Pee Dee AHEC is seeking to collect and analyze data on the non-licensed healthcare workforce in rural and underserved communities throughout the Pee Dee region as part of a new South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium (SC AHEC) initiative.
While workforce data for licensed healthcare professionals is readily available, there is limited information about many essential non-licensed healthcare occupations. This initiative aims to better understand workforce capacity, supply gaps, recruitment challenges, and training needs to inform effective workforce development strategies.
Non-licensed healthcare workers play a critical role in delivering quality healthcare services across our communities. However, gaps in available workforce data make it difficult for employers, educators, and policymakers to plan for future workforce needs. By collecting and analyzing local workforce information, this initiative will help:
